But water safety isn’t seasonal—and swim lessons are about so much more than dog paddling or simply keeping your head above water.

Every week, our swimmers practice skills designed to build confidence, competence, and safer habits in and around the water. From waiting for permission before entering, to back floating, to finding the nearest wall and climbing out with “elbow, elbow, tummy, knee”—these skills are practiced again and again so they become familiar and dependable.

Because learning to swim isn’t just another activity to fill the calendar.

It’s a life-saving skill worth building all year long. 💙🌊

Adaptive Water Safety Day: Round 2 was a success! 💙🌊

Water safety is for EVERY BODY. Every swimmer deserves the opportunity to learn life-saving water safety skills in a way that is accessible, supportive, and tailored to their individual needs.

We’re so grateful for the swimmers, families, instructors, and volunteers who joined us and helped make this event such a positive experience. Watching our swimmers build confidence, practice important safety skills, and have fun in the water is exactly why days like this matter!

In our Water Babies lessons, songs and toys aren’t just there to fill class time or keep little ones entertained. 💙 Every one has a purpose.

🎶 Every song becomes a cue.
It prepares babies for a movement, introduces a skill, encourages participation, and helps them anticipate what’s coming next.

🧸 Every toy becomes a teaching tool.
It gives babies something to reach for, move toward, interact with, or focus on while practicing an intentional skill.

Those familiar words, rhythms, movements, and routines become part of how they learn.

Babies thrive on repetition and ritual. When we use those routines intentionally—and allow them to evolve as a child’s skills grow—they become powerful teaching tools. They help little ones feel safe and comfortable while building new skills in a way that makes sense to them.

Yes, there’s play. Yes, there’s comfort. Yes, there’s fun. 🌊

But behind it all? There’s purpose.

Because when play and intentional teaching come together, that’s where the magic happens. 💙
