Mach 1 Track

Last day of the AAU Region 18 meet this morning. The last event for our Mach 1 runners was the 3,000m run. Our 11,12&13 yr old girls were up first Jenna Fink got 1st in the girls 11 yr.old age group with another PR of 11:43. Salene Lanham was in the girls 12 yr. Old. she was having a hard time breathing so she did not finish but she is ok is the main thing. Corrina Lanham ran a 13:35 and finished second in her 13 yr. old girls age group. Josh Fink was up next in the boys 15-16 age group and finished 3rd place with a time of 10:15. Then Emmy Strathmeyer ran in the young women’s 17-18 age group and finished fourth place with a time of 13:11. Finishing up the day was Cole Bettger he ran even though he was not feeling well. He finished fifth place with a time of 11:38. Next stop for Mach 1 is the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines , Iowa !!

This morning was kicked off with the 1,500 m run at the AAU Region 18 qualifier meet. Our first runner of the day was Josephine Heady in the girls 9 yr. old age group she placed 5th and got a new PR of 6:24. Next up was Miguel Martinez and Bear Wilberts in the boys 9yr old age group Bear also got a PR of 5:58 and placed 5th overall while Miguel got 2nd overall and a new PR of 5:23. Next was Jenna Fink in the girls 11 yrs. old age group she also got a PR of 5:26 and won 1st overall. Then Kambria Evans ran in the girls 13 yr. old age group she got 6:36 and placed 5th overall. Finally Josh Fink ran in the boys 15-16 age group he finished 8th place overall with a time of 4:42. Everyone ran awesome this morning and we also had a lot of new PR’s !!! Great job Mach 1 !!!

This morning some of our Mach 1 runners ran at the AAU Region 18 Qualifier meet. Emmy Strathmeyer ran the Women’s 17-18 2,000m steeplechase and ended up with a time of 8:37 and placed second overall. Next was Josephine Heady she ran the 800m in the girls 9 yr. Old age group and finished with a personal best of 3:16. Finally Bear Wilberts and Miguel Martinez ran in the boys 800 m 9 yr. Old age group. Bear finished with a time of 3:01 and Miguel finished 1st overall with a time of 2:41. Congrats to Emmy and Miguel in advancing to this years AAU Junior Olympics!! Great job by everyone who ran today !!

Jenna and Josh Fink started off our AAU Regional Qualifying meet at Arlington UTA. Jenna was up first and took first in the girls 1,500 m racewalk 11 yr. old age group also with a new PR of 8:39 way to go Jenna !! Then Josh race walked in the 3,000m boys 15-16 yr. old age group and also got 1st with a time of 15:08 great job !! Now next stop for both is the AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines , Iowa !! Way to go !!!

This morning we got to do our annual Mach 1 water sprints workout !! It was a really fun workout and a beautiful morning to do so !!

Today was day 4 and last day of the AAU District Qualifier meet at Arlington UTA. The younger 800 m Mach 1 runners ran this morning. Starting the morning off was Josephine Heady in the girls 9U where she ran a time of 3:20 and got 10th place. Next was Bear Wilberts in the boys 9U where he got a time of 2:58 and got 10th place and Miguel Martinez ran a PR of 2:36 and finished 1st place !
Finally Liam Pennington ran a time of 3:21. Great week for Mach 1 !!

Day 3 of the AAU District Qualifying meet at Arlington UTA. This morning was the 1,500m for the 13 & over age groups. First up was Kambria Evans she placed 5th in the 13 yr. old girls with a time of 6:29. Josh Fink was next in the boys 15-16 age group and he ended getting 10th place with a time of 4:41. Then Cole Bettger ran in the boys 17-18 age group and finished 2nd with a time of 4:17. Finally Britain Rutherford ran the boys 17-18 boys 400 m and finished with a time of .58.19.

Day 2 of the AAU District Qualifier meet at Arlington UTA. This morning our 12 & under athletes ran the 1,500 m. Josephine Heady kicked off the day with a 5th place finish and a time of 6:46 in the girls 9 yr. Old age group. Then it was the boys 9 yr. old age group with Miguel Martinez grabbing 2nd place with a time of 5:24 right behind him Bear Wiberts came in 4th place with a time of 6:03. Next up was Jenna Fink in the girls 11yr. Old age group where she won 1st place and also setting a new PR of 5:29 which she could not believe she ran. After her was the boys 11yr. old age group where Malachi Dolan ran a 5:15 which put him in 4th place and Liam Pennington ran a 7:03 and finished 8th place. Lincoln Coffey finished the day with a time of 6:12 ( 12th place ) in the boys 12 yr. old age group. We had a great morning !! Way to go Mach 1 !!! Ohh almost forgot Miguel Martinez also placed 5th overall in boys 9U open 400m with a time of 1:10 great job !!

Today was day one of the AAU District Qualifiers meet at Arlington UTA. All the 3,000m runners competed today along with our race walkers. First Jenna Fink started off by placing 1st in the girls 11 yr. Old age group with a time of 11:46. Then it was Malachi Dolan’s turn to win the boys 11 yr. old age group with a time of 11:24. Salene Lanham placed 3rd in the girls 12 yr. old age group with a time of 15:19. Then it was the girls 13 yr. old age group Kambria Evans placed 4th with a time of 13:41 and Corrinna Lanham placed 5th with a time of 15:05. After that Josh Fink took 1st in the boys 15-16 age group with a time of 10:02. In the boys 17-18 age group Cole Bettger got 2nd with a time of 9:33 and Britain Rutherford got 6th with a time of 12:33. To finish up the day for Mach 1 was Jenna Fink who won her girls 11 yr. old age group in the 1,500 m race walk with a time of 9:14 and then Josh Fink was the closer for the day with a first place in his 15-16 age group 3.000 m race walk with a time of 15:03 ! Way to go Mach 1 on day one !

Today was a great day to run hills ! These athletes know how to work hard !!
