⚽️ TYSL Soccer Celebrates Big Wins and Hard-Fought Battles! ⚽️
Our TYSL travel teams took to the field on Saturday, September 12th, delivering incredible performances, exciting goals, and amazing teamwork. From first-of-the-season milestones to thrilling victories over undefeated opponents, our players gave it their all!
Here is how the weekend broke down:
🏆 Guardians Earn First Win of the Season, Shut Out Red Bluff 6-0The U12 Coed Hayfork Guardians celebrated a massive milestone with an impressive 6-0 victory! They came out strong, played solid defense, moved the ball beautifully, and kept the pressure on the entire game to secure the shutout. This win is a huge confidence booster as they build momentum for the rest of the season!
🔥 Trinity Fire Boys Blaze Past the Competition in 9-0 Victory. The Trinity Fire U12 boys put on a spectacular, unselfish performance! The explosive offense was led by Declan Malloy, Coen Abel, and Wyatt W., who scored two goals each. Jair Tambura (his first goal of the season!), Austin Cunningham, and Blake Silver each added a goal to the scoreboard. As the lead grew, players moved into new positions to challenge themselves. Rowan stepped into forward and came close to scoring, while Blake Silver shined at center mid. Lonnie and Jazer pushed their teammates to improve, and the defense—anchored by Jack, Santana, Austin, and Ryder—kept things completely locked down. The team missed Liam's leadership and endurance, but every single player stepped up to bring the heat. Let's go Fire!
💪 Trinity Blazers Fall Just Short Against Yreka. The Trinity Blazers U14 Coed team battled fiercely until the very last second, falling just short in a heartbreaking 2-1 finish against Yreka, who scored the deciding goal in the final minute. Quinn Hazard scored the Blazers' lone goal to keep the team in the fight. While the result wasn't what they wanted, their determination was unmatched, and they are ready to bounce back next match
💥 Valkyries Defeat Previously Undefeated Lassen Team 5-1The Valkyries U14 girls secured one of the biggest victories of the day at home! Playing like a well-oiled machine, Aspen Geist and Arie Novak each found the back of the net twice, and Magnolia Dixon capped it off with a final goal.The defense was absolutely fierce, with Emily Smith standing out for her aggressive play and Carolyn Dobbs delivering a rock-solid performance. Bristol Arnold was a wall in goal, making several key saves with massive confidence. Defeating an undefeated team is a tremendous achievement!🎉
