WATCHING THE WATER: Lake Ontario water levels have jumped 2.5 feet since March 1st, a direct byproduct of heavy rain. Waters rises into spring are common and expected, but this is a rate of climb much sharper than average. Residents susceptible to flooding on Lake Ontario are already taking precautions, just in case. I'll note, ensemble forecasts continue to suggest a wetter-than-average pattern into at least the first half of May.
