The ICC program was comprised of the physical hardware, integration assistance and coordination, mission operations, training, international communications and planning. Some of the ICC platforms are now permanently mounted for external storage on the ISS. Today, Airbus DS Houston personnel are involved in developing new platforms for the ISS, including the Nanoracks External Platform (NREP). The NREP hosts experiments on the outside of the ISS with power and data communications. Now, your experiment can experience space without the need for cubesat-type electrical, communication, navigational and propulsion systems and you get your experiment returned from space when complete. Airbus also provides superior support to NASA in terms of simulation platform support, astronaut training, software development, international partner liaison and logistics and many other disciplines.
