❤️💛🏈📣 GAME DAY RECAP — TROJANS vs. JR. HONKERS! 📣🏈💛❤️
Saturday, September 19, 2026 | Willows, CA

It was a brisk early morning as Trojan families loaded up and headed south to Willows! The cool weather didn’t last long — temperatures eventually climbed near 100 degrees — but our Trojans came ready to battle! ☀️🔥

🏈 14U — WIN 33–0!

14U started strong and never looked back! Titus Solus and Tanner Newlon had big days running the ball behind great work from the Trojan O-line. Defensively, Siskiyou was STOUT, allowing very few first downs and keeping Willows off the scoreboard.

Coach Dan was especially proud of the team’s progress and the athletes’ willingness to sacrifice individually for the overall success of the team. ❤️💛

🏈 8U — WHAT A COMEBACK!

A few first-half hiccups left our mighty 8U Trojans down 21–0, but these kids weren’t finished!

They came out and DOMINATED the second half, nearly completing an incredible comeback before falling just short, 21–18. Fighting back from a 21-point deficit says everything about the heart of this little team! 💪

🔥🏈 10U — FIRST WIN! 27–7! 🏈🔥

With temperatures nearing 100 degrees, 10U charged onto the field and secured their FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!

Head Coach Villadapua called it “A complete team win!”

Offense, defense and special teams all contributed. The Trojans worked together, played hard and battled through the heat for four quarters. This young team has been learning and improving all season — and Saturday it came together! ❤️💛

🏈 12U — TROJAN STRONG!

Last up — but NEVER least — was 12U!

Willows #1 opened the game with a 60-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and continued creating problems with his speed on both sides of the ball.

Then John Walsh — aka “Little John” — made a HUGE play. 🔥

With Willows threatening to go up by two scores, LJ stripped the football just before the whistle and took off down the sideline! Instead of facing a two-score deficit, the Trojans were ahead 8–6!

LJ continued playing a major role in containing Willows’ speedy #1, helping propel 12U TO VICTORY! ❤️💛

📣✨ And shoutout to our Trojan Cheerleaders, who battled those same hot temperatures, kept the sidelines energized, supported their football players and continued preparing for COMPETITION WEEK! 🏆

Four games. Hours in the heat. Big wins. A near-comeback. And plenty of Trojan heart.

Thank you to our families who made the trip and spent a VERY hot Saturday supporting these athletes, and thank you to the Willows Jr. Honkers for hosting us!

Football, cheer, big plays, halftime performances, teamwork, grit and plenty of TROJAN SPIRIT! Our athletes showed up and gave it their all from the first kickoff to the final whistle. ❤️💛

A huge thank you to the Anderson Jr. Cubs for making the trip north and sharing the field with us! The Cubs and Trojans have seen plenty of each other over the last few seasons, and we always appreciate a great day of youth football and cheer together. 🏈📣

🏔️ A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT OUR NEW HOME!

Trojan football and cheer returned home Sunday at our new venue, Mount Shasta High School! Sunny skies, a cool breeze, and beautiful Mount Shasta towering above the field made for an incredible day of youth sports.

The Trojans and Anderson Jr. Cubs are no strangers, having faced each other over the past two seasons and twice already this year at Jamboree. With well-matched talent, we knew we were in for some exciting competition!

🏈 8U — SMALL TEAM, HUGE HEART!
With exactly 11 athletes, every Trojan gets LOTS of field time! #3 Emmanuel Carter started the game with an explosive rushing touchdown that brought the Trojan crowd to its feet. This little team continues to show BIG grit, determination and heart! ❤️💛

🏈 10U — KEEP GROWING!
Our 10U Trojans battled through a challenging game with some great runs and a Trojan touchdown! Turnovers ultimately proved costly, but every athlete got playing time and another opportunity to learn, improve and grow together.

🔥 12U — STRENGTH. COMMITMENT. TRUST.
WHAT. A. FINISH. 😳🔥

Trailing late in the fourth, the Trojans scored and converted the PAT to pull within FOUR POINTS with less than three minutes remaining!

Then Uriah Hancock recovered the onside kick!

After an interception appeared to end the comeback, David Daniel Carson stripped the ball right back from Anderson on the next play, giving Siskiyou one final opportunity!

The stands went WILD — fans cheering, yelling and stomping the bleachers as the Trojans fought for the win. A fourth-down pass was knocked away, and the Cubs escaped with the victory.

But the fight these athletes showed was something special.

Jaiden Buscall refused to let his teammates get discouraged, continually reminding them, “C’mon guys, we can do it!”

The interior defensive line of Bolo Young, Aiden Hancock, Myles Ferl, Lane Trujillo, Emilio Diaz and Uriah Hancock battled hard against a bigger Cubs unit, while James Henson’s dedication to his kicking paid off with a huge fourth-quarter two-point conversion.

They fell just short on the scoreboard, but their second-half comeback showed exactly what this team stands for:

🏈 14U — THE WORK IS SHOWING!
Our 14U Trojans played an outstanding game! The defense played LIGHTS OUT, while Titus Solus and Tanner Newlon broke loose for multiple long runs. Solid line play, strong quarterback play and a healthier roster showed just how much this team has improved! 🔥

📣✨ TROJAN CHEER BROUGHT THE SPIRIT!

Four football games means a LOT of cheering, but our girls kept the sidelines loud, positive and full of Trojan pride all day!

At halftime, they took the field to show off the tumbling, stunts, dances, formations and pyramids they’ve been working so hard to perfect. And with competition season getting closer, every practice and every performance is another chance to sharpen those routines!

Keep working, keep trusting each other and KEEP SPARKLING, TROJAN CHEER! ✨❤️💛

🏠THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!🏠

Our first home game of the 2026 season is officially in the books!

Saturday was a beautiful summer day at Legion Stadium at W**d High School. With sunny skies, temperatures in the mid-80s, and beautiful Mount Shasta soaring above us, fans and families greeted one another ready for a fun and exciting day of youth football and cheer! ☀️🏔️❤️💛

🍔🌭 THE TROJANS SNACK SHACK IS OPEN!

New this season — a Trojans-run Snack Shack! And WOW! The burgers, hot dogs, and other snacks were absolutely fabulous!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered their time to shop, prep, cook, serve, clean, and help make the Snack Shack happen. And thank you to everyone who stopped by and purchased food throughout the day. Every purchase helps support our Trojan athletes and program! ❤️💛

📣✨ CHEERLEADERS CHEERING FOR CHEERLEADERS ✨📣

The cheer teams on both sides of the field carried themselves with class and brought loads of positive, encouraging energy for one another and their teams.

Earlier this year, some of our Trojan Cheerleaders attended ACDC Cheer Camp alongside members of Wolves Cheer, so it was no surprise to our girls when the Wolves took the field with exciting halftime routines featuring huge tumbling passes and great stunts! 👏✨

Then it was time for our Trojans to take the field!

Our cheerleaders were excited to show their hometown crowd everything they’ve been working on, and hearing friends and family comment on how far this program has come in just three years made the day even more special.

From sideline cheers and dances to tumbling, stunts, and now PYRAMIDS — Trojan Cheer continues to grow both the sport of cheer and cheer culture here in South County. ❤️💛📣

And our OG Trojan Cheerleaders got an extra-special surprise when coaches from our very first season came out to support the girls and see how much they’ve grown! 🥹❤️ Thank you for continuing to show up for these athletes and for supporting Trojans Cheer through every stage of our growth.

🏈❤️ COURAGE. PURPOSE. PERSEVERANCE. 💛🏈

It was a tough day of competition for Siskiyou County against a large and talented Shasta Jr. Wolves program.

Our Trojan teams entered Saturday significantly outnumbered, but they stepped onto that field with courage and purpose and competed until the final whistle.

The Wolves took home wins at all four levels, but the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story of a team.

Our Trojans never gave up the fight.

They continued to work together. They encouraged their teammates. They got back up. They lined up again. And they kept playing.

There are lessons learned in the wins, but there are also incredibly important lessons learned on the hard days. Resilience is built when things aren’t easy.

We are proud of our athletes for continuing to fight for one another and showing what it means to be a teammate. ❤️💛

Home games don’t happen without an incredible amount of work behind the scenes.

To everyone who set up the field, worked the gate, cooked and served in the Snack Shack, helped on the sidelines, kept things running throughout the stadium, cleaned up, or simply came out and filled the stands to support these kids — THANK YOU!

And thank you to the Shasta Jr. Wolves athletes, coaches, cheerleaders, families, and fans for making the trip north and spending the day with us at Legion Stadium!
