Our mission at CLSA is to make sailing affordable and accessible. A family membership is less than $100 per year and members can sail club-owned boats for free.
There is no application process or application fee. Boat ownership is not required. Clinton Lake Sailing Association is located next to Clinton Lake Marina, 45 minutes west of Champaign-Urbana and 40 minutes South of Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. The club has a ramp, dock, pavilion, porta potty and dry sailing area. Sailors also can rent a slip or mooring from the marina. We are a community of act

Help get out the word! We had a couple last minute spaces open up for our youth sailing program tomorrow 6/20/2026 at Clinton Lake, Illinois. Must be 95 lbs or greater for participating and learning how to sail a laser. More information and registration details here:
Clinton Lake Sailing Association - Youth Classes At CLSA we offer youth sailing clinics for parents and youth sailors. Depending on the age and weight of the youth sailor, prams and lasers with radial rigging are available. Please click on the event links to learn more and register for youth sailing events at CLSA.

CLSA was the most represented group of travelers at this year's 8-Ball! A great spring regatta with typical breezy conditions to kickoff the Midwest sailing season. Thanks Harbor Pictures Company for the quality photography, and Indianapolis Sailing Club and Fleet 69 for hosting!
