Six riders and six honest answers.

We reached out to riders who’ve chosen to ride in Ryde and asked them to share their honest opinion. Among them: an Olympic medalist, an Olympic show jumper, a Saut Hermès Grand Prix winner, a national team rider, a Grand Prix dressage rider, and a National Dressage Championships winner.

Nobody got paid for their words.

We spend a lot of time thinking about stirrups. Probably more than is normal.

But we think about them because what happens at the rider’s foot doesn’t stop at the rider’s foot. It changes how we sit, how we move, how we use our bodies, and ultimately, what the horse feels underneath us.

That connection is what interests us.

Rider biomechanics and horse welfare aren’t two different subjects. Change something for the rider, and you may change something for the horse too.

And they are, after all, the whole reason we’re here 🖤.

Sometimes the biggest difference is noticing what you don’t feel anymore.

Barbara talks about something we hear from riders quite a bit. She’s experiencing less gripping, less tension, and more freedom to just follow the horse underneath.

And “saddle fitting for your feet” might be one of our favorite ways yet anyone has described our stirrups.

Because really, no two riders are built exactly the same. So why shouldn’t our equipment be able to adjust to the individual rider?

That is why we make stirrups for Every Body.

A little Swedish engineering has landed in Dallas 🇸🇪

This week, RYDE Equestrian is at AETA International Tradeshow and we are bringing our adjustable stirrup technology from Sweden to the U.S. equestrian industry.

A twisted stirrup leather doesn’t just look twisted or is an annoyance- it creates torque on your leg.

With every stride, that leather twist can transfer tension into your leg, knee and hip. And even if you’re not experiencing pain, your leg is constantly working against that resistance.

👉🏻By adjusting the stirrup leather attachment so the leather can hang straight, you remove that unnecessary torque — allowing the leg to soften, fall closer to the horse and respond with less tension.
A small adjustment which creates a very different feeling🌸.
