Wellington National Golf Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Stacie Simpkins as its new Director of Events, bringing with her a distinguished background in nonprofit leadership, large-scale event planning, and deep ties to the equestrian community.

Stacie began her event-planning journey as Chair of the Events Committee for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island (RMHLI), where her talent for logistics, creativity, and mission-driven fundraising quickly became evident. Her leadership trajectory at RMHLI advanced rapidly—she was soon elected to the Board of Directors, then served two years as Board President, followed by three years as Board Chair.

During her tenure with RMHLI, Stacie played a pivotal role in planning and executing a wide range of special events that collectively raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the organization’s vital programs. Her ability to build community connections and create meaningful, memorable experiences has been a hallmark of her work.

In recent years, Stacie has continued her passion for philanthropy through fundraising events that also highlight one of her greatest personal interests— polo. A dedicated equestrian and active member of the United States Polo Association (USPA) since 2006, Stacie has competed in New York, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, as well as internationally in Argentina and England. Her diverse experiences within both the equestrian and event-planning worlds bring a unique perspective to her new role at Wellington National.

“I feel that the village of Wellington is a special place that brings together the equestrian and golf communities,” Stacie said. “I look forward to bringing my experience and expertise in event planning and ex*****on to the beautiful Wellington National Golf Club!”

Wellington National Golf Club is thrilled to welcome Stacie to the leadership team and is confident that her vision, energy, and proven event expertise will elevate member experiences and help shape the next exciting chapter of community engagement at the Club.
