The iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso turns 90 years young today.

If it wasn’t for some British officer shattering his watch face while playing polo (a typical Old World Problem), then it may never have existed. For some reason, a Swiss watch collector was at the match and later approached Jacques David LeCoultre to see if such a plight can be solved. Designed by René-Alfred Chauvot, the Reverso has an elegant lift and slide mechanism that allows polo players or golfers to flip the watch inward before commencing battle. Ingenious.

The International Ladies’ Polo Tournament 2020 Final was a re-match under the floodlights between Marengo and Côte d’Azur Polo Team, with the latter taking the Winner’s Trophy.

Second day of the International Ladies Polo 2020 saw Côte d’Azur Polo Team pipping Marengo, which featured the top two players in the world, Hazel Jackson-Gaona and Lia Salvo, playing against each other.

The good news is that they are going to meet again in the Final this Saturday.
