I first showed at Devon 30 years ago (How is that possible? 😳)

It hasn’t lost its magic, and this year Lulu experienced it for the first time. It was special to view the show through her little girl eyes—pony hunt teams, Ferris wheel, lemon sticks and all🐎🎡🍋

I hope it was also meaningful for her to watch her mom compete on a big stage that she hadn’t seen before—to appreciate the act of setting a goal and seeing it through. Of taking your best shot at something that is important to you.

I often think about what Lulu observes and absorbs in her many hours spent with us at horse shows, and what she can carry with her no matter what path she chooses in life. I hope that within all that sass 😜 the big picture things are sinking in—the things that go beyond any ribbon:

🔹The importance of teamwork, both in respect for her people and love for her animals
🔹To be methodical and consistent in her day-to-day effort, so that she can find confidence in the bigger moments through her preparation
🔹To focus on the things that she can control
🔹 To be a lifelong student
🔹 Most importantly, to be fair and kind and resilient

This week was filled with horses that I love and people whom I admire, in an iconic venue abundant with memories, challenges, and inspiration.

I am proud of the whole team and motivated to keep chasing the dream. I hope that many years from now, Lulu remembers her first Devon with the same fondness that I do ❤️

Poker Face rising to the occasion at Devon 🎡🍋

As always, Pokey gave his all in the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby. No better feeling than cantering around the Dixon Oval with such a special horse. ☺️

So thankful for the entire team behind us. ❣️

Happy Mother’s Day. 🌷

Being a mom is the hardest, and also the very best, job that there is.

Oftentimes it’s chaotic (this week included me leaping off a horse after the derby, running - not walking, but RUNNING - to my car and pulling up for school pickup just in time, still in my shadbelly. And that was just an average Friday. 🙈😂🥴) But I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I love being Lulu’s mama, and treasure all the time spent and memories made with her every day.

I am very grateful for my fellow mom friends, whom I admire for somehow doing it all and never hesitating to help each other out.

I think of my own mom all the time, but a little extra on this first Mother’s Day without her. I know that she would love this busy, happy life centered around Lulu and horses. ❤️

Derby Fridays on the field! 👌

Kimberly Narlinger’s Fair n’ Square scored an 88 and 86.5 to finish 🥉 in the $2,700 USHJA National Hunter Derby (Hunt-N-Go), while Leah Patipa riding her HH Moonwalk were the high score amateur combination, earning 5th! 🩷

Such a fun day for the team! 💪

So thankful for our wonderful sponsors who helped make the beginning of 2026 such a success! 💫

We could not do it without the support of Butet Saddles, Equifit, Pandaponyium, Belle and Bow, and DziaSport Equine. ❣️

Ready to take on the spring and summer show season! 😌

Happy birthday week to my two favorites, Pokey and Lulu. 🎂

2 days apart, but both equally sassy, opinionated, brave, talented, and loyal. ✨

Being a horsewoman and a mom are two of the most important parts of who I am. These two fill my heart with pride, and push me to be better. ❤️

I thank my lucky stars to be their person. 🫶🏽♾️

A weekend of fun, learning, and friends for Lulu and Pocket ( oh, and way too many snow cones 🍧😂. )
Thank you to her little village that make these days so special ❤️

Aloha. 🌴
Congratulations to Ohana Equine on the acquisition of this special young horse.
Thank you to Jimmy Toon for finding another talent to develop.

There are many serendipitous little connections to Pokey in his story, hence the nickname Gumby. ❤️
And yet I have to remind myself that horses do not know the hopes and dreams that we have for them. They don’t think about shows or ribbons. They aren’t aware of the big shoes that they are “supposed” to fill. Horses are so very present. They just feel. And so I will strive to do the same.

Excitement for the privilege of being Gumby’s person for now.
Enjoyment of his sweet, brave, clever personality.
Awareness of the experience gained from every past horse, while remaining open to learning from the current ones every day.
And perhaps most importantly, Gratitude for the support that make these opportunities possible. The individuals in our own little orbits- both human and equine- are really everything. The people who cheer us on during the good days and offer unwavering support during the challenges. The horses who try that little bit extra when the going gets tough. Each member of our team, who contribute in unique ways toward a common goal.
In this sport of undoubtedly high highs and low lows, the magic is in the journey ✨
