Please Help Us Identify Three Boys Involved in a Hit-and-Run
I’m asking our community for help.
On Tuesday around 5:25 p.m., my 17-year-old son was leaving work at Lion Country Safari on his electric scooter, traveling along Lion Country Safari Boulevard. Three teenage boys were riding electric dirt bikes toward him. They were doing wheelies and other tricks, and one of them attempted a stunt called “swerving,” where he intentionally rode toward my son to avoid him at the last second. Instead, he crashed head-on into my son.
The impact threw my son from his scooter. He was rushed to the hospital with a broken foot and multiple broken toes. His electric scooter was destroyed, and he is now unable to work while he recovers.
What hurts the most is that the three boys left the scene without checking on him or calling for help.
We are incredibly grateful to God that my son survived, but we are asking for accountability. A police report has been filed, and there is an active case. We are now asking for the community’s help identifying these boys.
