As we all get ready for the next race, and wait for the rain to stop ruining our races I’d like to make a post to bring us as racers back to what matters most, having fun. This year has been a tough year for weather, track prep, and family life vs racing life. As we all know putting on races is not easy in itself, sometimes we overlook all of the hard work that goes into it. I personally have been on both sides of the track, in the car and running the drivers meeting and staging lanes. Days go into prepping that track, testing those lights, forming a committee of people, let alone running the race the day of. No one wants the track to be rough, or the lights to not work or better yet cancel the event but sometimes in the world of drag racing…. Especially in the dirt it’s unavoidable. I have been to at least 10 different tracks all around the country and they all run the races completely different but there are a few things in common at every track….
1. Everyone wants the race to go on and have fun
2. People work their butt off to put the event on
3. People who run the race often get more negative comments than positive or even constructive comments.
Traveling around to the races has been some of the best memories for myself and my family. I would love to pass on this awesome sport to my kids someday. If you have made it this far in my post my point is we all as racers should lift each and every track up on social media along with all of the workers and visit as many tracks as we can instead of working against each other! In the end we are all racers just trying to go fast!

Day two of the SPDRS race at IOK didn’t go as smoothly as Friday, but I really want to thank Ryan Wilson for going back to his house to get a part that we needed to race and saved us from having to load up and not race at all. The amount of people willing to help each other out and possibly have to race each other that night is awesome!
Next, I would like to thank Dave Applegate Jr. again for another great race and for the interview in the staging lanes, always a fun time!
Thank you to everyone else who made this race possible as well!
Finally, thank you Matt Peters and Kameron Krug for endless fun and memories at the races 🏁
