Yahoo! The #2111 White Goose Bar Truck driven by Andre Dusek in class F/DT on a 180mph record at the SCTA Southern California Timing Association's 2026 World Finals. The S&S Diesel Motorsport diesel engine did a great job powering the truck to 179mph in the quarter and 182.425mph in the 3rd mile. We are now in impound with hope of doing a return run this afternoon for a possible record. Andre also qualified the truck for the long course so perhaps tomorrow we will try to run it to the 4-mile and see if we can find some more speed and bump the possible new record. Congratulations to Andre and the entire WGBR Team.

The WGBR Team is at the SCTA Southern California Timing Association’s World Finals 2026 at the Bonneville Salt Flats. The last few days we have been setting up the communication systems, timing tower and the WGBR Pit. We are hoping racing will start tomorrow. The course is smooth and dry but waiting for the water at only present the end of the road to dissipate. We will be running the #2111 WGBR Truck in class F/DT on a 180mph record.

After the SCTA Southern California Timing Association’s Speedweek 2026, a few of the WBG Team Members stay another week on the salt to help the Bonneville Nationals Incorporated (BNI) and the FIA by providing a course, course/salt control, and course safety for JCB’s HydroMax set a new FIA record of 406mph driven by the FASTEST MAN IN THE WORLD, Andy Green. Andy and the entire JCB Team did an outstanding job in setting this new record with a hydrogen gas engine, something that has never been raced before, at these speeds. After his record, Andy stopped by the White Goose Bar and Manghelli welcomed him to the “bar.” Cheers! Job well done.

The #987 WGBR Valley Fever Streamliner running in F/BGS driven by Keith Pedersen on record of 316.299mph had a great first pass at 340mph, but Keith was unable to control the streamliner in the return run and had to abort the run and the chance for a record and a blue hat. Disappointing for all.

We put the Streamliner back in line with Lee Kennedy continuing to push the liner off the start line. Well, immediately after Keith dropped the clutch, the quick change gears were destroyed. The team ordered new parts and Thursday morning were able to put Keith back in line for another pass.

This pass Keith accelerated quickly, but the middle mile the streamliner stopped making power, and then recovered in the last 1.25 miles for 312mph last mile. When we took the streamliner back to the pits we discovered that there was water in one of the cylinders and that meant we were done for Speedweek 2026.

RS Garage will rebuild the engine and we will be back for another try next year.

The Waters Manghelli Collier #369 1929 Ford Roadster driven by Jay Meagher and in class F/BFR made one pass and then the driving was passed to hot foot Mat Thomas.

Mat's first pass was 242.725mph on a 238mph record and that was more than enough to send the roadster to impound. On the return run Mat turned it up even more with a 251.440mph pass and made the new record 247.082mph! We are very proud of the roaster team in capturing the only WGBR record for Speedweek 2026.
