"I was sitting in the area to the left as you come into Carmen's Black & White Bar and Grill and noticed this poster on the wall for the very first time----blown away, as I had kinda memorized darn near every wall (first time there---LOL)---a very cool poster from the Cooks event when I went with Greg and Kim---and there I was!!!!!"😆 Pretty cool! Bonneville 2026!
One of many photos from the week. We had a pretty amazing year even with the bike issues/breakdowns/broken parts.
We had 4 riders ride the experience bike and they did awesome! Every single one was able to get their 100 mph coin! Now for them to come back with their own bike and really make it happen. (Photos of them to come) Special thanks to Jim Higgins for his countless hours with making this bike run.
The Buell Sisters S2 had its own issues and a full day on the lift. After some fixing and welding, she was back on the track. We were able to get a new record in the P-PG1350 class of 141.520mph. The last record was in 2021, so this was a hard-fought record. We had some incredible help from Berry Wardlaw and Jim cole. We couldn't have made this record happen without their help.
Overall it was a great week and now to the not-so-fun part.....cleaning everything!
Great follow-up post; if you have one, let us know!

From Daniel Parker

World’s Fastest Indian to Ride Again
In the 1950s and 1960s, Burt Munro was a motorcycling legend. During this time period, he set numerous land-speed records on the salt flats of Bonneville in Utah. He did so on Indian motorcycles, all of which were under 1,000 cc. His legend lived on in the movie The World’s Fastest Indian, where he was played by Anthony Hopkins.
Additionally, The Burt Munro Challenge came to life ten years ago and has captured the imagination and spectacle of those early runs on the flats by honoring the late Munro. This year marks the organization’s tenth year, and for that special anniversary, it will bring two movie bikes to run at the event.
The first motorcycle will be an Indian ridden on the beach in the movie, and the other will be a replica built from a Ducati ridden on the salt flats. The Southland Museum and the Invercargill Arcade loaned both bikes to the Burt Munro Challenge.
These two motorcycles represent some of the most historic bikes on Earth, even if they’re replicas. Without Burt Munro and his Indians, the world of motorcycles would be a very different place. Check out more of the story behind the Indian
The top bike is from the Movie and the second Bike is his without a fairing.
