Today we say goodbye to Julian, and honestly, we don’t quite know how to do it. 🥊💜
For over 3 years, Julian didn’t just manage Lights Out — he poured himself into it. He showed up for this place and for every person in it, over and over, in a thousand small ways most people never even saw. Responsible. Proactive. Impossibly handy — this guy could fix anything before you even knew it was broken. Honest. Reliable. Caring, always.
He took real ownership here. He told us that he wanted to leave Lights Out better than he found it — and he did. This gym is better because Julian was in it.
We’re going to miss the big things and the small, ridiculous things in equally… him and Hugh fighting like a couple of kids 😂, him somehow enjoying summer camp more than the actual kids did, and just being a genuinely great friend to every single one of us. Julian has been a blessing in so many of our lives, in ways he probably doesn’t even fully realize.
Now he’s headed to serve our country in the Army. We’re so proud of him, even as it’s hard to let him go. We know God will take care of him out there, the same way he’s taken care of all of us here.
Julian — thank you for everything. You will always, always have a home at Lights Out. We love you and we can’t wait to see everything you will accomplish and everyone you will help. 🙏🏽🥊
