The Wisconsin Section is one of the 41 sections that comprise the regional entities of the PGA of America. Over 500 members and apprentices belong to the Wisconsin Section stretching from areas in the Upper-Peninsula of Michigan to almost the entire state of Wisconsin. Annually the Wisconsin Section conducts over 40 professional events, operates it's Junior Golf Foundation and participates in several growth of the game activities (Play Golf America Days, Golf Shows and instructional clinics).

Ending day 1 of the WPGA Professional Championship a bit wet, but we had fun none the less! ⛳️

The race for the Wisconsin PGA Championship is wide open after the opening round, with Michael Crowley and Sam Weatherhead sharing the lead at 4-under-par.

Nagy sits just one shot off the lead at 3-under-par, while three players, Bach, Zinda, and Christianson are tied for fourth at 2-under-par.

With just two shots separating the top six players, the championship remains firmly up for grabs heading into the final round. Crowley and Weatherhead will look to maintain their position at the top, while the players just behind them will have an opportunity to make a move and capture the Wisconsin PGA Championship.

Play kicks off at the WPGA Professional Championship at 11 am on Monday on the Pines Course at Lake Arrowhead.

We are looking forward to a great couple of days as we cap off the WPGA major event season.

A championship finish at Wausau Country Club 🏆

David Roesch has officially added his name to the Wisconsin State Senior Open trophy.

On a windy day that tested every part of his game, Roesch stayed steady when the pressure mounted. A 2-under-par 69, highlighted by four birdies and a flawless back nine, moved him to 3-under for the championship and gave him a two-shot victory over Derek Stendahl.

For Roesch, the win comes one year after a runner-up finish at the Senior Open, making his return to the top of the leaderboard even more rewarding.

Chip Summers and Michael Gustafson finished tied for fifth overall to earn low-amateur honors.

Thank you to Wausau Country Club for hosting a memorable championship, and to The Suter Ward Group at Morgan Stanley, TaylorMade Golf, and Sentry for helping make the event possible.

A big congratulations to our 2nd Annual Senior Four-Ball Match Play Champions, Jason Samuelian and Mark Voeller! 🏆

The duo defeated Chad Behrends and Brian Zinda on Sunday afternoon to claim this year’s title. The winning squad piled up six birdies and an eagle on their way to a 4&3 victory at Chenequa Country Club on a picture-perfect day for golf. ☀️⛳️

Congratulations to our two newest members on being elected to Class A PGA status.

Allyssa Ferrell of The Legend At Bergamont and Sam Weatherhead of Links and Drinks Indoor Golf Bar accomplished the feat in the past month.

Both are known for their impressive playing resumes but are now ready to leave their mark on the business side of the game.

ICYMI - On Monday, 100 Wisconsin PGA members and associates gathered at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club for the Reyes Retail Pro-Assistant, supported by Bushnell Golf, StrackaLine, and the PGA Tour.

Securing the Division One crown (traditional division) and earning their spot on the prestigious Manuel de la Torre Trophy were home club favorites Jamie Christianson and Dean Mehlberg! The pair jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, carding a flawless 12-under-par better ball round. Their scorecard featured 12 birdies and zero bogeys—helping them pull off a tight one-stroke victory over the late charging duo of Drew Ringelstetter and TJ Walton of Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. The winning team became the first host-course team to lift the trophy since 2018!

Over in Division Two, Andy Hansen and Austin Schloesser representing Tripoli Country Club, topped the leaderboard with an an impressive 10-under-par 62. Good enough for a SIX shot win!

Huge appreciation goes out to all our event partners for making this fun event possible.

Last but certainly not least, a big thank-you to the staff and members at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club for providing a top-tier venue and some great hospitality. We're already counting down the days until we return for the 2027 Suter Ward Group Wisconsin State Open!
