Shocked, stunned and saddened to hear of the terrible news.

No single Coach did more to build, promote and grow the mixed martial arts community in the Midwest than coach Duke.

The life I live now was very much a result of me walking into Roufusport back in 2005.

From Myself, coach Ben and the rest of the Primal MMA team. Rest in peace. Your shortened life was filled with achievements and accolades most coaches and fighters could only dream of.

Your name will be attached to the sport and this city for many many years to come.

Much love and condolences to all the Roufusport family and team.

Last time we met we said we'd grab a coffee. That'll have to wait for now.

Thankyou Duke for all you did for the sport. Any success of ours was built on the shoulders of yours.

🚨 Pankration 15 – September 27th @ Primal MKE 🚨

We’re getting close! 💥 This weekend we’ll begin confirming as many matchups as possible, and over the next few days we’ll start finalizing waves and bout order.

A few important notes:

✅ All matches must be confirmed — some are still subject to change.

👥 We had almost 150 registrants, but unfortunately, we’re only able to match just under half this time.

🙏 We truly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process.

We’ll stay open during repairs, but for the next 4 weeks we’ll be working out of our smaller space:

Primal MKE - Proudly supporting grassroots MMA!

A few of our Primal Kids team had a taste of competition last weekend.

We do not have a big kids comp team as we do NOT push our kids to compete at this age. The priority of our kids' program is to help kids develop a love for sport and movement they can carry on with in life.

Research tells us that the best thing we can do for young athletes (6-12) is to allow them to sample and explore many sports. Going further to suggest that early 'specialization' in a single sport generally is unsuccessful in the longer term.

That being said, we're still serious about skill development at Primal, and we encourage our kids to learn through deliberate play and explore the foundational dynamics of martial arts through appropriately scaled play-sparring games

Seems to be effective, too. These kids went out and performed great by applying how they move and play in practice.
