[05/21/20]   Hello all! The weather is looking great and the river is high. We expect to be ready to open by May 28th! In the meantime if you would like a 24 hour kayak rental give the shop a call

Hello everyone, kayak guy Dev here. You may or may not have heard but we are hosting an event in cooperation with Downtown West Bend Association for a Kayak 5K race to Quass Creek park. The date for the race is Sunday May 19th with events starting at 7am and the race beginning at 8am. Registration form with included info is found at this link:

The maximum of our own kayaks we can rent out for this event is 20 so if you do not have your own boat please call us to check availability and to reserve yours before mailing or handing in your completed form. [09/01/18]   RECORD BREAKER!
Today we had a single brave soul take the 1:30 launch to Highway M. This trip is 9 miles in total and takes an average of 3.5 to 5 hours to finish.

This solo thrill seeker finished in 2 HOURS and 15 MINUTES!
That water is moving fast!

PSA: Dangerous waters.

Thrill seekers listen up. This is the fastest and most exciting current I have seen from our river in 5 years.

That being said, for the next few days untill the water level has dropped we would strongly suggest against any novice and inexperienced kayakers from taking trips down our stretch of the Milwaukee River.

On the other end, those with experience, I highly recommend the adrenaline rush. It doesn't even get this fast in spring. Take advantage of these levels while they're here.

Side note: Riverside Park is now under water. Good luck disc golfers.
