Detroit Archers, Inc. DETROIT ARCHERS is the oldest archery club in Michigan.

The formal organizational meeting took place in 1928 and our most famous member, Fred Bear, became the club's first President.

🏹 FRIDAY NIGHT FITA LEAGUE 🏹

Get a head start on the upcoming indoor tournament season—or simply enjoy shooting indoors with other archers!

Our Friday Night FITA League is open to everyone. Club membership is not required.

📅 STARTING DATE
Friday, September 4, 2026

🕖 SCHEDULE
Doors open: 7:00 p.m.
Shooting begins: 7:30 p.m.
First half ends: Approximately 8:25 p.m.
Optional break: 8:25–8:40 p.m.
Second half ends: Approximately 9:30 p.m.

End times may vary depending on the number of archers. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can shoot the first arrows promptly at 7:30 p.m.

💵 LEAGUE PRICING

The league runs for 12 Friday nights.

Members: $10 per night × 12 nights = $120
Nonmembers/Guests: $15 per night × 12 nights = $180

To participate in the official league standings and running scores, the entire league fee must be paid at the beginning.

Can’t attend every Friday? You may pay only for the nights you attend; however, you will not be included in the official league standings.

🎯 SHOOTING FORMAT

Target face: FITA single-spot or three-spot target—archer’s choice
Standard distance: 18 meters (20 yards)
Youth distance: 9 meters for archers age 11 and younger

Round:

• 3 arrows per end
• 20 scoring ends
• 2 practice ends
• 66 arrows total

Scoring: FITA scoring—10, 9, 8, 7, and so on.

Scores are handicapped. Archers are grouped by equipment style, with recurve archers competing against recurve archers and compound archers competing against compound archers.

✅ REQUIREMENTS

• Bring your own archery equipment
• Club membership is not required
• All range and safety rules must be followed
• Come prepared to have a great time!

🥤 FOOD AND DRINKS

Food is not served during the FITA League, but outside food is welcome. Feel free to bring dinner or snacks and use the available tables.

Please clean your area before leaving. Water and soft drinks are available from the vending machine.
