MUSIC paired with MOVEMENT is 100% my jam, these days. Being back in school studying to be a music therapist was the best decision ever. My group work this semester is working with people in memory care: Alzheimer's, dementia and traumatic brain injuries. What is YOUR preferred music? It's ALL about client preferred music.

My work in this field is just beginning. Who knew that my journey would lead me here? I am beyond thrilled to be able to share this amazing research and evidence-based program with the world. I am teaching in numerous assisted living facilities working with residents in memory care. This is some of the most rewarding work that I have ever done.

Have you ever used something like this to help you sleep?
This next question is directed at the musicians and sound healers:
Listen carefully and you will hear the soft , ever present drone or hum of the A above middle C. (Greek choral musicians will recognize it as an * ison*)
Sometimes, it is pleasantly in there, and other times it creates a dissonance. Would this bug you?
Sound healers- thoughts on this A pitch throughout and 432 Hz?
Symbolic? Arbitrary?
Take away. It helped put me to sleep. 😴

This is Nike, the Greek Goddess of Victory from ancient Ephesus in Turkey. I snapped this pic in 2006 on our family trip to Greece and Turkey. It was a remarkable trip and magical experience.
Did you ever wonder where Nike got its branding idea and famous swoosh stripe? Look no further.
I am a proud, 2nd generation Greek American. My people are strong and resilient, with indomitable spirits. I love to channel my inner Nike. 🌟❤️💪🇬🇷

Question du jour: Is sugar really a treat?
I finally realize this toxic substance is more like legal crack and the potential damage to our cells is alarming.
Sugar is Not a Treat | Jody Stanislaw | TEDxSunValley Sugar is hiding everywhere in today's widely-accepted diet, but meanwhile its devastating effects are creating more deaths than automobile accidents. In this...
