One of the most common questions we get is why their child should be in martial arts. While we have 10000000 reasons, it might be easier to just focus on 3.

1. Martial Arts is focused on personal growth - While team sports are also a great way to help your child develop, many children often feel extra pressures from competition or fear of letting down the team. Martial Arts is focused more on learning control of ones body and mind vs. winning a competition.

2. Your child works on specific goals - Martial arts are a great way to help teach your child about goal setting. Martial arts has very clear goals: earn your next belt, break that board, kick higher, etc. This will teach your child to not only identify new goals but also complete them!

3. Its COOL! - Lots of kids think martial arts are cool. It’s hard not to feel special when you’re wearing a belt and breaking boards in half.

Many martial arts instructors share a smiliar journey. At one point in our lives, martial arts saved us.

Unstable homes, bad grades in school, facing bullies, feeling outcasted, behavioral issues, had no friends or positive role models, needing a deeper outlet....

Then, we tried martial arts.

On the mats, we gained mentors, friends, and skills we didn't know we needed.

Most importantly, we found our VOICES.

I continue the martial arts legacy here in Bradenton because of the gift it gave me.
