An often overlooked aspect of physical fitness and working out is stretching and flexibility. Static and dynamic stretching are great ways to improve flexibility for increasing range of motion, decreasing injuries and even pain relief. It can be easy to fit stretching exercises in on non-workout days as well to improve overall health.

Setting SMART goals when first starting your fitness journey will help to not lose focus or motivation.

Specific - Be specific in setting a goal, Cardio 2X a week or even just 2 workouts a week

Measurable - Track those workouts

Attainable - Make your first goal something you can achieve within 30 or 45 days so that you can reach milestones and keep motivated.

Relevant/Realistic - Planning to run a marathon may not be realistic when you first begin but running 1 mile or a 5k may be.

Time Bound - By setting a time frame the goal does not seem endless, it gives and end to reach that first accomplishment before looking at more goals.

Today is Hair Stylist Appreciation Day. I apologize for the late post but wanted to let you know how much my family appreciates all of you.

With salons being closed many of you aren’t using the same muscles. To help you avoid fatigue when you do return to work I’ve attached a video with some exercises to help keep those muscles in shape.
