What’s up Climbers! We have our annual Golden Rampage coming up on Saturday, December 3rd! For WCU rock climbing team members who have paid dues, this competition is free!

For everyone else, the pre-registration for $30 ends on November 25! The price rises to $35 after that.

Last weekend the golden rams competed in our first comp of the season, and it’s safe to say that it was a success!! 4 of our members placed!

Matt Van Meter: 2nd place, Men’s advanced

Betsy Conlin: 1st place, Women’s intermediate

Anna Sanchez: 2nd place, Women’s Beginner

Alden Ritchey: 1st place, Men’s Beginner

ALERT ALERT ALERT!!! The anticipation has been building and the time has finally come…. CLIMBING TEAM PRACTICE HAS RETURNED! New and returning climbers welcome, so tell your friends and spread the word! So come on out on WEDNESDAY from 7-9. Don’t leave us hanging!

Our final exec member is a brand new position! Introducing our fundraising chair, Liliana AKA Lilith! Lilith is apart of the Class of 2025, and studying media and culture with a video production focus, and minoring in digital marketing. She is really looking forward to meeting the incoming freshman and getting to welcome them to the team as warmly as she was welcomed last year! Outside of the rock wall you can find her falling out of airplanes, flying airplanes, hanging with her family or hiking!

That wraps up our executive board highlights! The wall will open on Monday the 29th!

We are just under two weeks out from starting classes, and that means introducing our final two exec board members!!

Carson is a finance major in the class of 2024. Outside of rock climbing, he enjoys talking about climbing, reading, running, and all around just health and wellness! He will be serving as our treasurer this year, which seems fitting given his major. Welcome, Carson!!

It’s been a second, but we are back! Next up we have our secretary, Grady!! Grady is apart of the class of 2024, and is majoring in Urban and Environmental planning. Outside of climbing and the wall, he can be found hiking and golfing! Most recently he has also taken up prolonging injuries, Specifically an ankle injury!
