Junior swimmer Paul Demesy achieved an impressive milestone by setting 2 conference records at this year's NCAA Championship, showcasing dedication and talent.

During the NCAA Championship, Golden Ram captain set a new conference record in the 200 Backstroke with a time of 1:46.08.

Paul Demesy from Saint Ulrich, France, was the national runner-up in the 1650 free, setting a conference & improve his own record with a time of 15:04.21. He played a key role in leading the West Chester University men’s swimming and diving team at the NCAA Division II Championships in Indianapolis.
Following his latest record-setting race, Demesy said, “My first goal going in was to improve my time from last year, and I was able to do a great job of that. I knew Hamlin (Jacob Hamlin of Tampa- 14:51.81) was going to be fast, so I just wanted to stay with him as best I could throughout the race, and I knew that would put me in a good spot.”

Demesy’s goals for next year- “My only goal is to continue to improve and win this event next year.”

Madelyn Koehle (State College, Pa.) earned an Honorable Mention All-American certificate in the 200 breaststroke at the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis. She qualified for the finals with a time of 2:16.00, finishing eighth in the finals at 2:16.98. This marks her third First Team All-American honor, following a seventh-place finish last year.
“Heading into the Championships, I was looking for a fourth or fifth-place podium finish in this event,” acknowledged Koehle post-race. “As I got into the meet and closer to this race, I realized that I really just wanted to compete the best I good but also try to have fun and enjoy the experience as much as I have in the past, and I was able to do that tonight.
