Chester County’s premier dance school for more than 50 years. Established in 1974 by Artistic Director and Founder, Donna L. Muzio.
Official School of @brandywineballet. The entire faculty at The Dance Center is committed to providing individual attention for achievement and progress to each and every student whether they are pursuing a professional career in dance or dancing for pure enjoyment and good exercise. Both types of students receive excellent guidance throughout their years of training at The Dance Center. Students
from our school have gone on to enjoy professional ballet careers as: Principal dancers with companies such as Pennsylvania Ballet, Ballet Eddy Touissaint USA and The Harrisburg Ballet; Soloist dancers with companies such as Pennsylvania Ballet, Dayton Contemporary Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Company; Corps de Ballet dancers with companies such as The Joffrey Ballet, Tampa Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, Garden State Ballet, Ballet Metropolitan, Miami City Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Pennsylvania and San Antonio Ballet; Apprentice dancers with companies such as Pittsburgh Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre and Richmond Ballet. In addition, students from our school are awarded scholarships yearly for prestigious summer programs such as the summer program at the School of American Ballet in New York (our school has had more than 20 students train at the School of American Ballet, 4 of which were awarded full scholarships). Also, more than 20 students from our school have been admitted to summer programs and studied at American Ballet Theatre, Washington Ballet, Boston Ballet, Ballet West, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Alvin Ailey, among others. Too numerous to mention are all of the colleges and universities that our students have been accepted into with scholarships for dance education. Our facility is a beautiful 11,000 square-foot space that includes four (4) state-of-the-art dance studios, a retail dance supply shop, comfortable waiting area, convenient parking, air conditioning and dancer dressing rooms. Professionally constructed basket-weave dance floors with marley surface have put the final touch on our custom studio space. Our largest studio is 2,000 square feet and constructed on 3,000 foam springs, which makes for an excellent, safe surface for professional dancers and students to train on daily.

Brandywine Ballet’s Nutcracker 2025 is in the books! It was a fantastic production with the largest audiences we have ever had! From the tiniest Angel to the Sugar Plum Fairy, we are beyond proud and impressed with the level of dancing and commitment these dancers all showed. We want to thank every parent and family who supported a cast member this Nutcracker season and to all of the behind the scenes help and parent volunteers that make a production of this size and quality possible. We had the most fun and joyful Nutcracker season and we are always sad to see it come to an end. It was a great run and we thank everyone who was part of it, supported it, or attended it from the bottom of our hearts. We hope you all enjoyed it just as much we did! Bravo to the entire cast and crew of Nutcracker 2025!

Happy World Ballet Day! We love all of our dancers from the smallest to the most advanced. Ballet is something we celebrate and adore every day of the year. Our ballet curriculum is based on the Vaganova Method of Classical Ballet and we offer our dancers a rigorous, performance-based program backed by regular technique classes. We are so proud of our technically trained ballet dancers and we love what the art of ballet brings to our community!
