Whether you take on the full Murph, Half Murph, or a partitioned version, this challenge is about more than fitness — it’s about heart, perseverance, and community.

Yesterday, ECF showed up and put in the work for Murph prep. 🇺🇸💪
Every Memorial Day, we take on Murph: a Hero WOD honoring Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL who gave his life in service. Traditionally: 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, 1-mile run.
But Murph isn’t about doing it 100% as prescribed. It’s about showing up, working hard, pushing yourself, and honoring Lt. Murphy.
Scale it, modify it, or go full send… just show up and give your all.
Local to ? Check out East Chestnut Fitness at the Oscar Lasko YMCA. Functional training with coached classes with an incredible community. Morning classes Monday through Saturday. PM classes offered a couple of times a week.

Strong for the long run 💪
Today’s ECF morning classes focused on squats—a foundational movement that builds lower body strength, supports joint health, improves balance, and helps us stay independent as we age.
Strength training isn’t dangerous—the real risk is losing muscle and strength over time.
