On a serious note...I've seen some TikToks and Reels in which the poster complains about, and mocks those who make "New Year's Resolutions" about joining a gym to get healthier, build confidence, look and feel better, etc. Please stop. Everyone who goes to the gym has had a first time. What's the purpose of humiliating new members? I have nothing but contempt for these so-called influencers. How about welcoming these newbies into the gym culture with positivity? Make them feel welcome to workout at the gym long-term, instead of quitting within months, if not weeks. Be better.
Happy New Year to all. And to all the New Year resolutionists, welcome to the gym! Good luck and have fun.

Want to add some height to your biceps peak?
Consider adding this exercise, known as the waiter's curl. Hold the top of the dumbbell with both hands and make sure the top of the dumbbell is facing upward. As you raise the weight, shift the position of your wrists to ensure the top remains level. The movement uses grip manipulation to really work your biceps. By resting the top of the vertical dumbbell on your palms, rather than gripping the sides, you put maximum tension on your bicep, and less on the forearm. You don't need heavy weight for these.
Add these to your arm days doing 3 sets to failure.

The physical demands of tactical professions such as the military, law enforcement, and fire/rescue services are extremely high. The effective delivery of services within each of these specialized professions is greatly dependent on the development and maintenance of
sustainable performance attributes, such as strength, power, endurance, and injury resistance.
Military, law enforcement, and fire-rescue services personnel need to be physically prepared in addition to having technical and tactical skills crucial in chaotic environments consisting of combat operations, civil protection, and the extreme dangers associated with firefighting and rescue services.
The term tactical athlete is relatively new but is becoming increasingly popular within the realm of strength and conditioning and refers to those serving in occupations requiring unique physical training strategies with the objective of improving occupational performance.

Well 2020 is gone but the damage to many of us continues. If only the so-called health experts and media had pushed exercise and healthy eating instead of contradictions, misinformation, and fear, perhaps some of those we lost just might still be with us. Looking forward to the rest of 2021 and to building a new training studio soon. Stay tuned!

Tactical strength and conditioning is the application of strength and conditioning principles in a tactical training environment. The term “tactical athlete” can refer to police officers, military special ops, soldiers, airmen, marines, firefighters, and even emergency medical service personnel.
Whether you're in a physically demanding and performance-oriented occupation or want the comparable look, simply running or lifting more isn't the answer. The demands of this unique form of training take uncommon variables into account, like gear, timeframe, and emergency situations.
With this specialized training, you'll be able to achieve the physical, physiological, and aesthetic changes seen by tactical athletes training for their occupation.
This specialized training will get you functioning and looking like a firefighter, a Navy SEAL, a Combat Controller, or Marine.
Being tactically fit may one day be the difference between life and death for you, your buddy, or someone you are trying to help.

Looking for a simple recipe for a healthy snack? Try these Brussels in Blankets.
This can be a side dish or an appetizer, and it's a cinch to make — only three ingredients, and one of them is turkey bacon! Cook up a batch any time you want your family to get a healthful dose of cancer-fighting properties and soluble fiber to stabilize blood sugar and mood.
Ingredients
One 9-ounce container fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut in half lengthwise
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
12 to 14 slices turkey bacon, cut in half and then sliced lengthwise.
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil and sprinkle on salt and pepper.
One at a time, pick up each sprout and wrap with half a slice of turkey bacon (tuck edges of bacon underneath cut side of sprout so it stays put). Place sprout cut side down on baking sheet. Repeat until all sprouts have been wrapped in bacon. Bake for 22-25 minutes or until bacon is crispy

Non-stop renovations of my house for the last 10 months caused missed or shortened workouts. Always tried to find time to get my training in. Back on track though, but looking forward to finishing it all.
