It’s important to lead by example! Taking care of our bodies 💪 (and minds) is a big reason why we created HH. Rowing is low-impact and creates high results, meaning you can work hard and not hurt your body in the process. This is why our founder discovered the power of rowing. 🙌 This month is and we encourage the incredible men to take care of yourself.

Also, SAVE THE DATE because we are hosting a special Father’s Day class next Saturday at TC @ 10:30am. Bring your kids for a modified RIP & ROW class for a fun fitness experience. Open to current members and non-members

REASONS WHY EXERCISE IS BENEFICIAL TO PREGNANT WOMEN!
Women who trained 5x per week during pregnancy had:
*shorter labors
*less complications during labor
*required fewer medical interventions
*gained less weight during pregnancy *and had longer and leaner babies.
(took this from a study by James F. Clapp, MD)
I will say this with lots of "sidenotes" because it really depends on your fitness levels pre pregnancy.. and many other person-specific details but I am such a huge believer in keeping your body moving during pregnancy - WHATEVER feels good to you! When I was pregnant with Jett I didn't belong to any fitness studios.. I did a lot of walking and rode my bike indoors on a stationary trainer. I didn't do much strength training at all, but made sure to stay active! THIS time around, I have continued my workouts that include both rowing AND strength training as well as some at home interval style workouts and I am really excited to see everything differs from the first pregnancy as well as during labor and post-partum! I saw this hashtag on another preggo-gal's fitness account " “ and I think thats the perfect way to describe the goals of my fitness routine right now!
