It’s that time of the year again!! The 2022 NOBULL Crossfit Open has begun!
Please register for the OPEN (link in bio and on story) It’s an accomplishment to be willing to step forth and put all your hard work to the test for these workouts. It isn’t necessarily about competing with those next to you, its about pushing yourself to a level that you didn’t think was possible. If its your first open, its time to establish a ranking for you so next year you can see your improvement.
Every Thursday for three weeks, CrossFit will release a workout on Thursday at 12PM pct. Athletes will have until the following Monday at 5p.m. PT to complete the event(s) and submit a score. Once the score submission window closes at 5 p.m. PT on Monday, athletes will not be able to adjust or resubmit a score for that week’s event(s).

This Saturday while attending our Speed dating event 4PM-6PM, puppies will be available for adoption. Your $20 entry fee will be going to @loveatfirstmut. ❣️❣️

The CrossFit Open provides a fantastic reason to push yourself outside of your comfort zone. The Open provides a yearly bench mark to help you measure your progress. The best part is that the Open is for everybody and the workouts are infinitely scaleable for all levels.
Join us Friday nights starting February 25th, from 4-6pm, workouts will take place in heats. BYOB for post-workout happy hour!
Admittance requires at least $1 donation to South Central LGBTQ Center.

Sprinting into February’s Athlete of the Month slot is the magnanimous Micah Martel @micahmartel ✨🧱⚡️
If you’ve never met Micah, he always brings his smile and dedicated work ethic to class. Secret talents include being a self-proclaimed lip sync assassin, pole dancer and heel enthusiast. He wants to give a shoutout to @coachkforest for teaching him how to handstand walk in heels (master class coming soon 👅).
For Micah and many of our members, BRICK is a chosen family. 🧡 “I can’t fully explain how grateful I am for this community. Through ups and downs, Brick has been a consistent source of love, support and positivity in my life for the past seven years.”
No stranger to athletics, Micah comes from a background of Dance, Yoga, Weight Training and Running, but always avoided team sports. “I was terrified of sports growing up and was always picked last,” he said. “I was ‘too girly’ and didn’t fit in with the boys. My younger self would never in a million years have thought that someday I’d be a fierce CrossFitter and athlete of the month… and still girly just the same!” Micah, we love you as you are - lift strong and twirl on! 🏋🏽♀️💫

Our December Athlete of the Month is Keith Balderston. Not only is Keith a committed athlete and long-standing member of the Brick community, he comes back to us after surviving a Massive Pulmonary Embolism in October 2020. Keith was recommended to be our star CrossFitter this month because of his perseverance and resilient attitude! You can catch Keith in B|X, B|Swole & B|Fit doing his favorite movement, Cleans, and avoiding Burpee Box Jumps.
When getting his workout on, he loves to blast metal, but at home he digs classic rock and jazz. Keith comes all the way from Kansas with a sports background in Football and Skiing. When getting her workout on, Helena blasts Reggaeton and House Music to keep her energy up. She loves to Snatch, but Thrusters can be tough for a 6’2 Athlete. Not only does Helena have a secret talent of juggling, but she has won 4 European Championships, a bronze at the Youth Olympic Games and the title of having the sexiest voice in Cataliona through a Radio contest.
Her joining us at BRICK is really a full circle moment. Our GM Cory Etchason was actually her very first CrossFit Coach, and she couldn’t be more thrilled to share the knowledge Cory and other inspiring Coaches have taught her with the BRICK Community. It’s that time again..we are looking for people new to fitness, those who have struggled staying consistent, those who would like to learn the foundations of Crossfit.
After our last successful Six Week Fitness challenge we knew we had to launch it for the new year.
When we have someone to help hold us accountable while we commit to change, we have a much great chance at succeeding.
Let our coaches guide you in transitioning to a new lifestyle. Not only will you begin to look at exercise and nutrition differently— but you will also develop relationships with like minded people.
➡️ You will meet with your coach for five weeks. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. At either 7:30AM, or 6PM. The sixth week is a week to try out all of our classes in our 10,000 sqft facility.
➡️ Your coach will have a personalized carved out path to help you physically progress towards your goals(including nutrition 🍎). Helping you with any and all limitations that you may have, to help you become stronger, mobile and fit. Not only physically, as well as mentally.

Let’s give a big BRICK Welcome to Coach Madi @madichilcott ! Madi is a NASM certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Madi has a degree in Culinary Arts, grew up dancing competitively and has even danced with Janet Jackson in concert. After making the cross country move in 2015, she found a passion for fitness and hiking.
When she’s not in the gym, you can find Madi playing a board game, doing a puzzle, watching Survivor, or cuddling her adorable pup, Mollie. She also can be found jamming to Dave Matthew’s Band or Prince and screaming at the Buffalo Bills football games.

THE WILD RIDE WOD Workout for Nov 6th has been announced!
The competition will be on Saturday November 6th and will consist of Teams of 4, with at least one female athlete. There will be one 36 minute workout that is accessible to anyone with CrossFit experience. The workout can also be scaled if needed.
There are prizes for the top three highest scoring teams, plus whichever individual raises the most money will receive the grand prize of an indoor water rower!
The WOD consists of four workouts ROW ROW YOUR BOAT • CLEAN UP • LIFT ME UP • RESCUE ME with three that waterfall one into the other. The fourth starts at the beginning and continues until the final whistle.
Barbell movements will consist of deadlift, hang clean, front squat and jerk. Other movements are rowing, wall balls, dumbbell clean and jerks, burpee box jumps, pull-ups and bar muscle ups. There is no minimum work requirement on the bar muscle ups, but there is a minimum work requirement for the pull-ups. Scaling is an option, however that team would then rank lower than any other team that completed the workout as prescribed.
