The Purdue Women's Club was established on March 16, 1922 as a social organization for faculty wives and female faculty members. Today, the Purdue Women's Club has broadened its focus and opened membership to all women in the community who have an interest in Purdue University and the greater Lafayette area. PWC is an officially recognized organization of Purdue University and is a member of the Conference of Big Ten Women's Organizations.

Garden Gals, Photography Guild, and Newcomers volunteered at the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette Day Lily Stroll at the private farm of Gregg and Linda Sutter on July 11. This was the second year that Garden Gals and Newcomers helped staff the event. Although it rained for most of the day, everyone attending seemed to have a great time!!

Garden Gals: Jackie Austin arranged for a visit to Karen Hilbert’s gardens. Karen shared the plants that do well for her. She also warned about what does TOO well and tries to take over. Plant those with caution!!

Wine Divas enjoyed meeting with our Brit wine vendor today. Jack brought down the house with an announcement that he had married 6 days ago and brought the bride to meet us. (Sorry. No photo of the lovely bride.) The 4 wines were enjoyable and the conversation flowed. Great afternoon.

Garden Gals visited Hamstra Gardens, a delightful formal garden in Wheatfield, Indiana. The 6.5 acres with a bridge and stone ruins was developed over 66 years by Wilbert and Peggy Hamstra. So worth a visit if you love gardens!
