Happy Mother’s Day to all of our incredible Team Moms! 💐

Today, I just want to take a moment, not only as President of PBCYFL, but as someone who started exactly where many of you are now… as a volunteer team mom over twenty years ago.

Before board meetings, policies, schedules and endless phone calls, I was the mom carrying snack bags, organizing carpools, calming nervous players, washing uniforms, answering late night texts and somehow still making it to work the next morning. So when I say I understand what you do for these children and these teams, I truly mean it.

What many people don’t realize is that team moms are often the heart of youth sports. You are the glue that holds things together. And for some of these kids, you are far more than a volunteer… you are encouragement, consistency, comfort, support and sometimes the only true “mom” figure they have consistently showing up for them.

Some of these children may never fully realize today what you pour into them, but years from now they will remember the woman who believed in them, checked on them, celebrated them, comforted them after losses and showed up week after week because they mattered.

Football is what brings us together, but what you all do is SO much bigger than football.

PBCYFL simply would not function without our team moms. Period.

Thank you for every unpaid hour, every sideline emergency, every group chat, every ride coordinated, every tear wiped away, every nervous parent reassured and every child loved like your own.

From one former team mom to another… I see you, I appreciate you and I love you all more than words can express.

Happy Mother’s Day and thank you for everything you do for our league and our children. ❤️
