Grateful we are to collaborate and help make an impact on so many ❀️

We had such a great time collaborating with , , and and so many other programs in our communicating, supporting one another, listening, and brainstorming meaningful ways to help decrease the high rate of drowning among individuals with autism in Palm Beach County. This is a devastating issue, and it will take all of us working together to create change. When a community bands together, lives can be saved. We are so proud to partner with incredible organizations in our community to support our students and families and to make water safety a priority. Together, we can make a difference.

πŸ›Ÿ Safety Week at Small Fish Big Fish Swim School 🐠🐟

January’s water safety focus is Reach or Throw β€” Don’t Go.

If someone is struggling in the water:
πŸ‘‰ Reach with an object
πŸ‘‰ Throw something that floats
🚫 Don’t go in β€” it’s safer to stay out of the water and call for help

Teaching kids what to do in an emergency can save lives. Safety starts with knowledge, practice, and preparation β€” and we’re proud to build those skills every day in our pools.

πŸ’™ Swim lessons save lives.
πŸ“ Join us this Safety Week as we practice smart, safe water choices.

Are you a Palm Beach County parent or caregiver of a child with autism? Join us for the first-ever Autism & Water Safety Symposium on Friday, Jan. 30, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. at the CSC Building in Boynton Beach. This important event brings together autism advocates, water safety experts, and parents to explore ways to protect our children with autism around water.

Why is it important to discuss autism and water safety? 69 children with autism have drowned in Florida since Jan. 1, 2024. The purpose of the Symposium is to gather Palm Beach County stakeholders so we can work together to create ways to address this important, life-threatening issue as a community. If you are a parent interested in attending, please contact Jon Burstein at [email protected]. Feel free to reach out to him if you have any questions.
