I don't know if you know who Major Taylor was, but he was a kickass black bicycle rider back around the turn of the 19th century. For years and years I wondered why they had a velodrome named Major Taylor in the middle of Indianapolis, then I read Andrew Ritchie’s book “Major Taylor: The Fastest Bicycle Rider in the World”... now I know. I have admired the MT Bicycle Club for years from afar. Yesterday I found on site on line they are having a convention in Nashville...and I couldn't say no.
