Do you get in your head? Overthink? Feel like your emotions/thoughts consume you?
Rather than getting pushed around and being in your thoughts/emotions, take a step back and notice the thoughts/emotions.
Easier said than done. But with small steps toward observing, you will start to recognize you have a choice in your performace and behavior no matter what you feel and what your mind tells you.
Rather than being absorbed in, observe them.

Find the good. Make time for it.
Been awhile since I’ve posted…. I thought this would be a nice comeback post.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the things that aren’t going well, the things we need to fix, the bad performances, our mistakes. On the flip side, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing the great - success - perfection. We miss what’s good. What’s right in front of us NOW.
Don’t get me wrong we want to strive for greatness and figure out what needs to be improved.
BUT we do need to make time to FIND THE GOOD.
Happy Saturday!

A support system is key for an athlete and a person. Build a circle of a people around you that support you, build you up, and believe in you.
Who is in your support system??

Pressure makes diamonds.
When you’re in the thick of it, the pressure and challenge can feel like it’s swallowing you up. During these times, our minds seem to be more critical, catastrophizing, urging us to give up - what’s the point?…
Remember there is a lesson to be learned and growth to be made. You’ll come out the other side, a diamond.
During the challenge, reminding yourself of what can be learned, making adjustments, and seeing the little wins is so important.
Want to keep this in mind? Want techniques you can do to help through these times? Want someone to talk to from an outside, non bias perspective? DM me asking to set up a consultation.

Save this ⬆️ if your athletic journey feels like a struggle right now, I can just about guarantee you’ll want to come back to it.

When we evaluate ourselves, it’s very easy to get caught up in comparing, results, and validation or reassurance from others.
While these three things ARE important, they can be unproductive when we focus on them too much.
We can start to feel lost, our confidence drops, we start to second guess ourselves, pressure and stress rise - the list goes on. Our mind may start to question what we’re even doing?? This is scary.
Work on shifting your mindset and finding balance when evaluating yourself. Start using:
1️⃣Pick 2 specific small goals before your performance, then evaluate yourself on the little wins
2️⃣Choose something that truly matters to you and ask yourself if you executed it during performance
3️⃣ Finding what’s in your control and evaluate yourself on your ability to stay locked in on what’s in your control
Try it out! If you have any questions dm me 🙂

What if you put in the same amount of hours into mental as you you do physically?
What about just half the amount of time?
You’d be surprised how much change and progress you could make by putting in some work on the mental side.
No more wondering who will show up on the day of competition.
No more wondering if all the time you’ve put in physically will pay off.
No more fear in fear and nerves.
No more playing to your opponents game.
So what’s stopping you from training your mental game? No, not t reading books or listening to podcasts - do we do this for the sport itself or strength training?? We work with a coach and dedicate time to the sport and strength training.
What’s stopping you from putting intention and meaning behind your mental game?
If you’ve changed your mind DM me today and ask me about a free consultation.
