🎨 Call for Art!
Gallery 1075 at the West Sacramento Community Center has two open calls for art.
🖼️ 2026 Summer Art Show
Entry through Friday, June 12
Art Reception: Friday, July 17, 6:00–8:00 PM
This open-theme show is meant to amplify the voices of artists in our community. Artists working in two-dimensional media may be considered, including photography, paintings, textile arts, and more. Artwork must be able to hang by wire. High school artists are welcome.
🌳 2026 Parks Make Life Better Art Show
Entry through Friday, June 19, 5:00 PM
Art Reception: Friday, August 21, 6:00–8:00 PM
Celebrate the ways our parks and recreation events improve the lives and experiences of people in our community. This show will also spotlight the creativity and talent of local artists working in two-dimensional media, including photography, paintings, textile arts, and more. Artwork must be able to hang by wire. High school artists are welcome.

The City Hall offices, Community Center, and the West Sacramento Recreation Center will be closed 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 in observance of Memorial Day.
Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will continue normally. Police and Fire Department patrols and emergency services will continue without interruption.

🎨Gallery 1075 is excited to welcome Shaunte Neely as the artist of our April Art Show “Facing Death”. ✨
Facing Death explores the many different thoughts and actions that might tempt us before we emerge stronger. Drawing from her soul, Shaunte’s paintings explore her journey through diagnoses and tough mental battles to find peace.
Attend the art reception to enjoy museful paintings and meet and converse with an incredible artist in our community!
