Men's Crew at UC Davis

The 2026 ACRA National Championships were one for the books. Both the varsity eight and 2V battled hard to progress to the petite finals and sprinted to 4th place photo-finishes, taking 10th overall. The novice four fought all the way to the grand final to take 6th place nationally. Additionally, 3rd year oarsman Niko Stratigos was recognized as a member of the ACRA West Coast All-Region Team for athletic achievement and team contributions. The culmination of all the hard work this year - ACRA National Championships! Heats begin tomorrow for our MV8+, M2V8+, and MN4+ against the best teams from across the country. Excited to show Tennessee what Davis has to offer, updates to come!

Last weekend, the team executed our best racing of the season and brought home some hardware! Our 2V4+, VL4+, and N4+ finished on the podium, and we defended last year’s win in the pair. We’re proud to represent Davis against a slate of strong ACRA and IRA teams, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our wonderful parents and alumni!

The team competed last Sunday at our first travel race down in LA at the Newport Regatta! Good fights were put up across all events as we faced long awaited competition like UCLA, UCSB, and OCC. Ready to begin spring break training next week as we prepare for SDCC and the spring racing that follows! Always and forever, RYBO!

The team had its first chance to break out the racing uniforms against Cal Lights and Humboldt on Sunday! We fielded 8 boats, getting 5 first place finishes. Many thanks to our supporters and the visiting teams for some great racing! It was a solid start to racing season, and we’re excited to travel down south for the Newport Regatta this weekend!

The team is excited to get into 2k season! We had a great time hosting Sacramento State for a 2k race and practice pieces a few weekends ago.

To wrap up winter quarter, we race back-to-back weekends with the Davis Invite and the Newport Regatta, which we will return to for the first time since 2024.

Davis Men’s Crew had a blast last Saturday during the Sac State Scrimmage! Five boats across the channel raced a 2k, then did practice pieces in preparation for the upcoming season. Afterward, the new varsity members received their varsity sweaters, continuing the tradition and increasing our historic team number to 581. Thank you to Sac State and everyone who came today, and we hope to see you again at President’s Cup, Sun 3/8 at Lake Natoma!

The team is excited to get into 2k season! We kick off the racing this Saturday at our home port, hosting Sac State in a dual for the first time.

At the end of winter quarter, we race back-to-back weekends for President’s Cup and the Newport Regatta, which we will return to for the first time since 2024.
