Chris and Casey traveled up to Rochester yesterday for the annual Brunswick seminar that covers a variety of topics from new releases, sales trends and even Brunswicks business side of things most people never get to see.

We also had the pleasure of watching the lefty GOAT Parker Bohn III throw some of the newly announced balls from this week.

Hammer reckoning: stronger and earlier than the Zero Mercy Solid. Having a lower rg allows the ball to get started sooner, while having the same cover as the Zero Mercy Solid, providing and even more aggressive ball for heavy oil.

Hammer Blacklist: this ball was incredibly clean and angular throughout the lane, but it wasn’t the fastest responding ball out there. Meaning when it saw friction it didn’t stand up immediately, rather the cover was strong enough to read through the oil and the core helped maintain angularity through the pins while still giving a controllable reaction that remained consistent.

Track Synthesis Prime: for an asymmetrical pearl ball, this piece read the lane early, while still offering length and continuation off the backend. It was a nice visual change from the typical hockey stick we see from big pearls. This looks like it could be one of the more versatile pieces on the horizon

DV8 Outsider: this ball was clean and controllable but not overly strong. For those that enjoy asymmetric score shapes but a more rounded and stable reaction, this piece will be for you. It’s not the strongest ball out there, in fact this ball has one of the lowest differentials of any asymmetric ball out there, while keeping a higher intermediate differential for angularity and response to friction.

Radical Vexed Variant: this ball was STRONG. Not zero mercy or reckoning strong, but take the most controllable ball in your bag, now move an arrow left (or right for lefties) this is the same benchmark shape you like to see from solids, but more overall hook.

Brunswick Strategy Logic: this ball was a clean, smooth responding hybrid. With more control and reading the lane earlier than the original strategy, it offered more length than the vexed variant and outsider, but similar control off the end of the pattern and more angularity than the solids in this release.

Overall we’re really excited to get our customers into some of these new releases and improve your game with the right ball/layout for what you’re looking for.
