An Important Update from the Director: 4th of July Holiday Hours 🇺🇸🏊‍♂️

Please note that the Veterans Park Pool will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

In a previous post this week, I inadvertently stated that we would be open Monday through Saturday with extended hours. This was done in error, as our official pool guide has always scheduled the facility to be closed for the holiday so our staff can celebrate with their families.

We will reopen for our regular hours on Sunday, July 5th from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

I sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this oversight may have caused. We hope you all have a safe, happy, and healthy 4th of July weekend!

⏰ Schedule of Activities
🤫 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Silent Hour
To ensure a comfortable and inclusive environment for everyone, there will be no music, loud announcements, or heavy noise during this first hour.

🎶 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | General Event & Music
Time to kick the energy up! Join us for music, community activities, and tons of family-friendly fun.

🎨🏃‍♂️ 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM | Color Run & Grand Finale
We are ending the celebration with a massive splash of color! Grab your sneakers and join us for the Color Run to close out the event with a bang. (Pro tip: Wear a white shirt and clothes you don't mind getting colorful!)

Update form Veterans Park- Splash Pad and playground are opening on time today.

We anticipate the pool opening on time tomorrow following firework cleanup and water quality tests.

We have the best Buildings and Grounds crew! 🛠️🌳

Thanks to their hard work, the Veterans Park playground and splash pad will open on time this morning! 💦🏃‍♂️

🚨 Please Note: The pool will remain closed through the weekend for fireworks cleanup. 🎆

The pool reopens next week, 12pm-5pm and we want to remind everyone to purchase their pool passes online before your first visit!

✅ Pool passes will NOT be sold at the pool.

If you need assistance purchasing your pass, you are welcome to visit our Recreation Office. Please note that you must have a MyRec account to purchase a membership in the office.

Calling all walkers — the Seneca Striders Walking Club kicks off this Monday, June 22nd!

Whether you're looking to get moving, meet new neighbors, or just enjoy a peaceful morning outside, this is your invitation. Our staff-led walking club meets every weekday morning at the WSX Fitness Court in West Seneca Soccer Park for a structured warm-up, a social walking route at your own pace, and cool-down stretches to finish strong.

No experience needed. No registration required. No cost — ever.

Just show up and start your day in step with your community.
