The Entrepreneur Artist
For starving artists done waiting—ready to become total ICONS- make money & create their own opportunities. I'm here to help you do that too.
I'm Sally Sampson, a singer & actress who got tired of waiting for my big break & decided to make things happen.
PART 7: (The Finale) Re-adjust your vision as you go.
If you start out with a dream, it’s important to let that dream grow with you. There is a difference between chasing every idea you get, but there is something to be said for allowing your vision to grow and develop—just as you grow and develop.
In the arts, it’s important that we nurture our creativity. If our dreams start to trap us because they are inflexible and rigid, then our creativity will also be restricted—and doesn’t that defeat the entire purpose of all of this?
So remember: develop that vision and let it lead you forward, but leave room for growth and evolution.
PART 6: If your dream is not constantly being reinforced in your external surroundings and within your own mind, the chances of you actually reaching your goals are way slimmer, according to many studies.
Keep your dream and your goals around you all the time, and avoid falling prey to the age-old saying, “Out of sight, out of mind.”
No—in sight and in mind is where you need to be.
PART 5: Your FOMO (fear of missing out) is likely killing your productivity as an artist – or at the very least curbing it.
I’ve always struggled with this. It’s not a lack of ideas that keeps us stuck; it’s our inability to commit to the most important things that will actually move the needle in the right direction.
So STOP saying yes to everything!
Keep your vision and your goals as your North Star, and hold the course. That’s the only way to truly make progress.

PART 4: Once you have a clear vision of the goal you want to achieve and you’ve broken it down into actionable, timebound steps, now it’s time to choose the vehicle to get you there.
One vehicle, not 12.

PART 3: Your dreams won’t happen if you don’t do this.
Artists/Performers, once you’re clear on your vision and you’ve storyboarded it, you’ve got to reverse engineer your dream.
That means breaking it up into small, actionable chunks so you can start taking steps toward building your dream.
It’s not enough to just see your dream before you if you never take concrete steps toward it.

PART 2: Artists/Performers — if you can’t see it, you can’t build it.
Storyboard your vision in whatever way appeals to you most — and put it freaking everywhere.
If you’re going after hard things — or even impossible things — you have to make them real to you. You have to believe they’re possible. Otherwise, you’ll never push past the fears, doubts, and obstacles.
Don’t skip this step.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish” is one of my favorite quotes.
It’s from Proverbs 29:18 in the Bible, and this applies to absolutely everything in life — regardless of what you believe (or don’t).
As artists and performers, it’s important to have what we want to accomplish in clear sight.
In this video series, I break down how to do that in a strategic, science-backed way — so you can actually take productive, progressive steps toward building the life of your dreams.
