⭐️📣 Growing Stronger, Raising the Standard!

We are excited to announce and welcome Coach Vanessa Miller to our 12U 2026-2027 coaching staff in the Fall as a non-parent 1st Assistant Coach! 👏🏼

Vanessa's softball journey began right here with Indiana Magic Gold, where she competed from 2015–2020 and helped lead IMG to a 3rd-place finish at the PGF National Championship Tournament. Now, she's back home in Indiana to give back to the next generation of IMG athletes. 🔥

After her standout travel ball career, Vanessa went on to earn and play four years of Division 1 softball at the University of Louisville, where she started as an Outfielder and all 52 games in right field as a senior, finishing her collegiate career with 19 home runs, 65 RBIs, 58 runs scored, and 20 stolen bases while competing in the ACC. Along the way, she earned NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team honors, ESPN Top 10 Play recognition, multiple ACC Academic Honor Roll selections, All-ACC Academic Team honors, and NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete recognition.

Most recently, Vanessa served as a Graduate Assistant Softball Coach at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN under former Louisville Cardinal standout Kassie Stanfill, working with hitters, offensive strategy, and outfielders. 💪🏻

⭐️ OKC 2026 ⭐️

What an incredible week at the WCWS—the best week of softball! We made 🆕 memories, bonded deeply, competed against good 12U teams, and represented IMG with heart.

While our results weren't what we hoped for in the Alliance Super Cup, this team continues to grow, learn at a rapid rate, and show incredible resilience this season. We're already back to work training and determined to come back stronger than ever.

We have battled several injuries this Spring😢across our roster, and we'd appreciate prayers for healing and strength. Our biggest hope is to get these girls healthy and back on the field together as we finish the rest of our season. With 4 tournaments still remaining in our 11U journey, we're excited for what's ahead and ready to make the most of every opportunity.

More than any wins or losses, we're grateful for the new friendships built this Spring, the memories made, and the unwavering support from the best parents around. This group is special, and we're proud of the culture we've built together.

The future is bright, and this team is ready to fight together through AFCS!

The Women’s College World Series is one of the greatest classrooms in softball if you’re willing to pay attention.

Don’t just watch the home runs. Watch how these women carry themselves when the lights get stupid bright. Watch the body language after a strikeout. Watch the way they attack the next pitch after an error. Watch how they respond when 12,000 people are losing their minds around them.

Anybody can celebrate success. The real lesson is hidden in the struggle.

Watch the pitcher who just gave up a bomb and still demands the ball back. Watch the hitter who punched out twice and still steps in the box believing she’s the baddest player on the field. Watch the teammate in the dugout who keeps bringing energy when her name isn’t being called.

That’s the stuff that gets you here.

The WCWS isn’t built on talent alone. It’s built on thousands of reps nobody saw. Early mornings. Empty cages. Missed parties. Sore bodies. Failure after failure after failure until eventually the game starts giving something back.

So if you’re sitting in those stands dreaming about being on that field one day, don’t just be a fan.

Study them.

Steal their habits. Their toughness. Their resilience. Their confidence. Their swagger.

Because if you want to stand on that field one day, understand this:

The hard work isn’t over when you get there.

The hard work is what gets you there.

And damn… every second of the grind is worth it when your cleats finally hit that dirt 🩷

Coach Carlos came out to OKC with us to represent IMG not only coaching yesterday in the 12U Super Cup but presenting “Relays and Cuts with Pressure Situations” at the The Alliance Fastpitch LIVE Coaches Box this morning! We are so thankful for his defensive instruction and energy he brings to our training! ⭐️💪🏻⭐️
