Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day of reflection, celebration and remembrance that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
At the YMCA, we remain committed to fostering communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging and has the opportunity to thrive.
YMCA of Greater Indianapolis centers will be open until 1 p.m. today.

Severe weather is expected across Central Indiana this afternoon and evening, with the chance for strong storms, high winds, hail, heavy rain and possible tornadoes.
We're keeping a close eye on the forecast and are ready if conditions change. The safety of our members, guests and staff is always our top priority.
If we need to make any changes to YMCA programs, services or facility operations, we'll share updates through the YMCA app, our website and social media channels.
Please stay weather aware, give yourself extra time to travel if needed and follow local weather alerts.
Stay safe, YMCA family. We're here for you.

We got our first food from the community garden last week!
Thanks to everyone who’s been helping take care of it. It’s good to see the work paying off.

🌟 Member Spotlight: Sam Spencer
Sam joined the Y in June 2025 and we’re so thankful she did!
She brings such a fun, positive energy with her, whether she’s working out, encouraging others or getting in a game of basketball. As a NASM-certified personal trainer, Sam knows how much it helps to be around people who are also trying to stay active and feel their best.
That’s a big part of what brought her to the Y: the community, the motivation and the chance to be around people moving toward healthier lives together.
We’re grateful to have Sam as part of our Y family.
