Thanks to Fort Wayne Lightning for hosting us over the weekend! The kids had a blast playing a coach pitch and kid pitch doubleheader. Lane hit a homer in his FIRST kid pitch at bat. Wow! Everyone took a turn on the mound, and a few played catcher for the first time.

The season is rolling right along - 15 wins so far! 3 more tourneys and a few kid pitch scrimmages on the books for the last month of the season. We had 2 of our more exciting wins last weekend, a real team effort all around.

8U Nitro tourney champs at Grand Park this weekend! Ran the table and knocked off #1 seed Center Grove in the title game. We had our best practice of the season a few days prior, and it really paid off. Congrats boys!

Mother’s Day baseball for Nitro 8U! Lost a close game to the tourney champs, came back from a 13-2 deficit to fall 16-14. Back at it next weekend!

1-1 this week against the Mustangs and Bulls. Friday night fun at Urban Apples. Nice to have a weekend off before tournaments resume on the 10th. We’ll be at Grand Park D26 at 2:00 and 5:00. Come check us out!

Another solid weekend for Nitro, going 2-1-1 at the Tucker Swain Tourney. These kids are looking tough early in the season.

Pretty solid first week, finishing 2-2. We played pretty well in our first tournament, losing to the eventual champ. Defense is looking great, made a few double plays. Back to practice on Tuesday.
