Ready to take your player's game to the next level? Roots Academy+ is designed for players ages 9–12 who want focused training, more touches on the ball, and plenty of opportunities to play.

Each one-hour session is split into two parts:

30 MINUTES — TRAINING
Players work on technical skills, decision-making, and other areas of their game with the Roots Soccer Academy coaching staff.

30 MINUTES — PLAY
Players immediately put those skills into action through small-sided games and scrimmaging.

ROOTS UNITED ACADEMY — FALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

This fall, Roots Athletic Center and Western United Pioneers are combining their coaching philosophies and resources to create a unique soccer experience for players ages 6–8. Players will have the opportunity to train with coaches from both organizations, bringing different coaching experiences and perspectives together throughout the season.

TRAINING
• One training session per week
• Choose Tuesday OR Wednesday
• 5:00–5:50 PM

GAMES
• Saturday games at 10:00 AM
• Small-sided games designed to give players an opportunity to put their training into action
• All games played at Roots Athletic Center

Registration is open for our Fall session of Adult League!

The session runs from August 24th through October 6th. Games will be played on Monday or Tuesday evenings.

We'll remain outdoors playing 9v9 for the duration of the session as long as weather allows, so be prepared for some cooler nights as the season progresses.

🚨 WINTER FLAG FOOTBALL IS COMING TO ROOTS ATHLETIC CENTER! 🏈

We’re excited to welcome the Connecticut Flag Football League to Westfield for its first indoor winter season at RAC!

📍 Roots Athletic Center
181 Root Road, Westfield, MA

📅 Sundays, December 6 through January 24
⏰ Practices and games scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Players will compete in an exciting, professionally organized 7v7 flag football league with divisions for:

🏈 Coed: 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U
🏈 Girls Only: Middle School and High School

The age cutoff is August 1, 2026, and every registered player will receive a jersey and flag belt to keep.

Registered players are also invited to a free preseason clinic at Roots Athletic Center on Sunday, November 8, from 1:00–3:00 p.m.

A fun, movement-based introduction to soccer focused on coordination, confidence, and basic skills.

Roots United Academy (Ages 6–8)
In partnership with Western United Pioneers, players continue developing their technical skills while learning teamwork and game play in a fun, encouraging environment.
One training a week with a game on Saturday:
Tuesday/Wedensday 5:00 - 5:50
Satruday 10:00-11:00

Roots Academy+ (Ages 9–12)
Designed for experienced players looking to sharpen their technical ability, improve decision-making, and prepare for more competitive soccer.
