Wow, this post has been a year in the making! Cade came to me last summer after his doctors had shut him down from pitching for 3 months due to bone spurs in his elbow.

Cade was frustrated and didn’t know if he would ever pitch again. I remember telling him it would be a long process but we would have him back on the mound by the next season.

He continued to grind during the pandemic and set himself up to be able to come out of the bullpen during high school baseball season.

This past week he started his first game since his elbow injury and came out on fire! He threw 4 innings and had 8 strikeouts while giving up 0 runs!

It was such a long process but he stuck to it and it finally paid off. The next goal, hit 90mph!

⛳️🏌🏽‍♂️People often ask how we do cardio for golfers. If you look at the movements in golf we have an explosive motion (golf swing) with a long rest as you walk to your ball and wait for your turn to hit. In this video we have a plyometric exercise for 6 repetitions along with a brief walk for recovery. The multiple explosive jumps with a short walking time keep you more in a cardio state.

When doing this exercise you want to make sure to stay springy. You don’t want to spend a lot of time on the ground and when your jumps don’t feel smooth anymore it’s time to stop.

When doing cardio we typically start people at 2min of work with 3min of rest for 2 sets. From there we start to build more sets or longer times.

⛳️🏌🏽‍♂️ Here’s a great exercise you can easy do from home! All you need is a blanket and a throw pillow.

-use the blanket to go onto your knees
-hold the pillow between your heels and butt
-take your belly button towards the ceiling
-tap opposite hand to shoulder staying as still as possible
-progression: reach through and rotate your thoracic spine while holding your core in the right position

Give them a shot!
