For those hitting the ocean and waves this summer.
This is really simple. You can spot a rip current. Unfortunately, it's where it looks easiest and safest to enter the sea. This is because the rip current is looping around and pulling back OUT. Hence no waves rolling IN. NEVER ENTER THE SEA HERE. If you are already in the sea and get caught in a rip current (you'll know because you will suddenly be moved from your location and it will be impossible to swim against it) don't panic. Swim ACROSS, not against the rip current. For example, rather than trying to swim to shore while being pushed out, swim parallel to the beach and you will be able to get out. Then you can swim ashore. Please educate friends or family visiting the beaches this summer. Stay safe 🙏

Finally, proudly, happily to say…..there are finished and delivered!! Big learning experience! Very well adored by the customer who was gifting them to his wife, daughter and granddaughter who all live with him. Awesome gifts. He had bought this patterned quilt(s) many years ago at the Great Wall of China while traveling for work. The picture he had sent me was a wornout and tattered quilt. He requested three of these quilts. Several months of planning alone went into these beauties 1,796 squares each 2 1/2”. This gentleman, loving father-husband-grandpa added this label which really touched my heart. “Cherish the seasons of life” - oh so how true

Another t-shirt quilt ready to go! Maybe the Tigers are not winning but I think the quilt is!

2018 count - 655 quilts (up 117 from 2017)!! 1,300 yards of binding!! 59 quilt labels!
