Lions Cup recap 🦁🏒
FAHA showed up ready to compete — a team built from 8 countries (USA, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, England) who met for the very first time and took the ice together with zero practice. No shared systems, no shared language for some of these guys — just respect, hustle, and a will to represent.
Final tally: 3 ties, 2 losses. Standings so tight only 2 points separated 2nd from 6th place. For a team that didn’t exist a year ago, that’s a statement.
Every player repped their country, their club, and their family the right way. This is the foundation — now it’s on to Euro Camp, more Lions Cups, and recruiting the next wave of talent from the US and Canada.
One year ago, FAHA wasn’t even a thing. Now the whole hockey world knows the name. 🇺🇸🇨🇿🇸🇰🇫🇮🇸🇪🇳🇱🇩🇪🇬🇧

Day 1: A hard-fought tie to open the tournament. Scoreless until the third, when we fell behind
1-0 — but a beautiful team play got us the equalizer for a 1-1 finish. This was our group’s first
game together, with players from the USA, Finland, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, and
Czech Republic, communicating in English and Czech on the bench.
Day 2: Another tie, this time vs. Swedish club Homerunners. We fell behind twice and battled
back both times — great character from the boys.
Hockey wisdom, no shortcuts required: development beats hype every time.
“If you’re good, they will find you.“ Skip the top team, skip the 5-hour drives — invest in what actually builds a player: daily training, proper nutrition, and using your time wisely. The results speak for themselves.

Train. Travel. Compete.
There is nothing quite like the experience of taking your game across the globe, stepping onto international ice, and realizing that hockey is a universal language. This summer, we are bringing that elite, high-energy North American training style straight to Europe for an exclusive three-day experience.
The Summer Euro Camp is returning to the beautiful Kapka Resort in Vsetín, Czech Republic, from July 25th to 27th. This isn't just about standard drills; it’s a complete immersion into what it takes to reach the next level. Players will hit the ice for elite skill sessions led by North American coaches and scouts, gaining the kind of direct exposure and tactical feedback that completely transforms a player's game.
Beyond the on-ice intensity, we’re hosting dedicated prep school and junior hockey info sessions to help families navigate the competitive landscape and map out a clear path forward. It’s an incredible opportunity to train alongside Kapusta's Bosco Prep alumni, push your limits, and build connections that last a lifetime.
Spaces are intentionally structured into two back-to-back birth year groups covering 2007–2009 and 2010–2012 to ensure high-tempo, competitive reps.
If you are ready to give your athlete international exposure and memories that will last a lifetime, secure your spot today. Head over to kapustahockey.com to register. Let's get to work!

“If you’re good, they’ll find you.“
We hear this line in hockey all the time. But is it true?
On Episode 10 of the Kapusta Playbook, we dig into what actually drives player development — and it’s not luck.
It starts with the player: are they asking questions, being challenged, taking ownership of their own growth? Then it’s the program: ice time twice a week or five? Good coaching, good nutrition, real education alongside the sport? A team where players push each other with a free
spirit, or one that holds them back?
Two clubs in two towns can look the same on paper and be worlds apart in practice. The program matters. The people in it matter.
Because “if you’re good, they’ll find you” only works if everything around you is actually built to help you get good.
