Last night was an interesting one. Got a text from a hunter saying that he shot a Bear. Get on the phone, start making calls and texts for help because we had some absolute giants coming to that bait. On the way there, receive another call from another hunter that he had also just shot his bear. Get to bear 1, start looking for blood, hear some crashes and sticks breaking not far from us. We now know the bear is still alive, time to back out and give it some time. Head over to bear number 2. Go in and assess the situation, got good blood, but notice no blood rubbing on any trees, bushes or leaves. Thought that was kinda weird. Almost looks like bloody paw prints in a way. Get in a little further, and some crashing and moans. Back out and call a dog. 2 hours later we get back in to bear 2, and now the bear is moving, took us into some Boggs and its running. Re asses the situation to that bear is going to live. 7am this morning, meet the dog, head on in to the bait station, get on the blood and 70 yards later we find the bear dead. Thanks to all that that had came to help both last night and this morning. We got a pretty good crew.
