CPYC One Design Regatta

Very excited to join two amazing photographers in Paris for the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Awards 2021 December 9, 2021. Daniel Forster & Steve Cloutier (Block Island Steve) have been selected Top Ten for this prestigious recognition!! Their photos were captured during the Cedar Point Yacht Club One Design Regatta 2021 on June 2, 2021 at nearly the same split second with two very different approaches. Both photos appear as “bookends” in the promotional image above.

Daniel Forster & BlockIsland Steve were both chosen for the TOP 20 for the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award 2021: the winners will be celebrated on 9 December at an official ceremony at the Nautic (Paris international boat show), on the OC Sports - Le Télégramme stand from 6:00 pm. Media and marine photographers are cordially invited to this ceremony. The prize money will be distributed to the winners in accordance with the rules, while the prizes in kind will only be given to the photographers present at the ceremony.

CPYC has been named as the recipient of US Sailing’s 2018 National One-Design Club Award. This is truly a testament to all the outstanding member volunteers we’ve had at this year’s Thistle Nationals, One Design Regatta (ODR), and junior sailing regattas. The award ceremony will be held January 31 in conjunction with the 2019 National Sailing Programs Symposium in Jacksonville, FL. Congratulations to all and happy holidays!
