This past weekend, Saugatuck Rowing Club’s Junior Team competed at the North East Regional Championships on Mercer Lake, where the racing was exciting and our athletes proved that hard work truly pays off.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Saugatuck qualified 32 girls and 48 boys for the next round of competition — USRowing 2026 Youth Nationals in Sarasota, Florida.

These athletes will now have the opportunity to race against the top teams from every region across the country!

The season is far from over, and we can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes next.

A full weekend at Mercer Sprints for Saugatuck Rowing Club.

Warm, sunny racing on Saturday gave way to cold, windy conditions on Sunday…classic spring rowing.
Our crews showed up ready to compete, testing themselves against some of the fastest programs in the country and embracing every challenge the weekend threw at them.

Special shoutout to our novice rowers on their first race of the spring season, stepping onto the racecourse, gaining experience, and setting the tone for what’s ahead.

Proud of the grit, growth, and team energy across the board. On to the next.
